Do I need to take the SAT Subject Tests if I plan to submit my ACT + Writing scores?

A lot of colleges say they require the SAT and two SAT subject tests OR the ACT + Writing test. Is it ever the case where colleges recommend or require submitting SAT subject tests in addition to the ACT + Writing test?

Go to the following site for list of colleges that require, recommend or consider SAT IIs. In the required column, you will see a 2 for a number of colleges. If the 2 has an * next to it the college accepts ACT in lieu of both the SAT and SAT IIs; if no * the college still requires SAT IIs even if you submit ACT: [Compass: Admissions Requirements](<a href=“SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group”>SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group)

As to those listed that recommend rather than require SAT IIs, they recommend them even you submit ACT.

Thank you so much! This definitely answers my question.
