I speak English pretty well and I don't think I need to take it. I mean I have been in the country for about 9 years and am a permanent resident. I'd like to think I'm relative eloquent but regardless, do I need to take this exam despite being able to speak the English language at least as well as the typical teenager?

Most schools say that you only need to take it if you have lived in a country where English is not the primary language for the two years prior to enrollment.

I moved to the US in 2010 as a 15 year old and I don’t have to take it since I speak better English than most of the kids here.

TOEFl is not required by any college of permanent US residents living in the US.
