My parents and I are from Maryland but my parents have had this house in VA for a two years. I have a VA drivers license and went to high school in VA.

The thing is, I don't live there. I have never lived there. My cousin does and they're the ones paying for the house. It's just under our name.

I doubt it since the school will be looking at your parent’s primary residence as listed on their federal tax returns, and I’m assuming it will say Maryland.

For Virginia Tech (as an example) this is the form necessary to determine residency. If you are willing to lie, you might stand a chance, but lying is NEVER a good idea when it comes to admission.

The reality is that you are not a VA resident. You got your VA drivers license using inaccurate information…as you are not a resident of that house.

You are not a VA resident…you yourself said…you have NEVER lived in that house. How would you think you would be a resident of that house for any purpose?

@ belief - barron’s is correct, Virginia is very strict on instate tuition (Virginia Tech in particular…your school correct?). A lot has changed in 25 years. When your parents when to school the rules were probably not as strict. The following may give you additional information. You will not qualify if you answer the questions honestly.
