Hi everyone,
I just checked my PSAT score on Naviance (my school posted this morning!) and I got a 1500! It doesn’t tell me any breakdown of scores or my qualifying index. All I can see is that I got 740 in “Evidence-Based Reading & Writing” and 760 in Mathematics. I live in a state where the cutoff is 223. Last year (10th grade) I got a 1480 and my qualifying index was 221. Do you think the improvement of 20 points is enough to get me to 223?
Your selection index is 224.
Thank you!!
To calculate your selection index, drop the zeros from your scores. Double the EBRW score and add the math score.
For your score, 74 + 74 + 76 = 224
Congrats sis - it’s extraordinarily unlikely any state will go to 225, so I think you’re good.
Congratulations. Technically, you will be a semi-finalist. Most semi-finalists are evnetualy named finalists after jumping through some additional hoops.
