do i really have to take the calc I placement test?

You need at least a 750 on the SAT math to get in w/o having to take the test and i got a 740. Also, I only got 1 question wrong on the entire SAT Math section. Anyone I can call to negotiate?

If not, is the exam hard? just realized there's all this stuff like completing the square and basic trigonometry and midpoint and distance formulas that I forget and that are on the practice exams online. and i hardly have time to study...am I in trouble?

You can try calling CAS advising or MAP advising. Google for the number.

And come on, it’s JUNE. Unless your Orientation is in June, you have plenty of time to review. You might remember more than you think.

i doubt there’s much or any negotiation about the SAT score but i’ve also heard the test is not that difficult. i’m guessing it’ll be mostly algebra and things you may have done in pre-calc in high school. it shouldn’t take long to review and i wouldn’t stress out about it. the worst that can happen is you take the test and you still have to take pre-calc before calc. also if you’re not interested in pursuing a curriculum that requires advanced math you could just take a quantitative reasoning to fulfill your map requirements.
