Okay so I'm confused. You don't submit your ACT score the same time when submitting a college's application. They aren't linked together.

I took the ACT in April but didn't list any schools to send it to. Stupid mistake on my part I think since I could've saved some money. But anyways, I don't exactly get it. Can someone just clarify for me. Should I send me April score to the colleges I want to apply to RIGHT now before I start their applications? Or are you supposed to send the scores after you have submitted applications and paid the application fees?

You can send the test scores early. They’ll start a file for you and wait for your app.

Thanks! Exactly what I needed to know.

Also, I am planning to apply early to several places so that’s like a November deadline. I am also retaking the ACT in October to see if I can better my score. I’ll have to submit my current ACT score from April to meet the deadline since I’m sure the October results won’t come until late November. After I send in my applications and April scores to these colleges, can I send them my October results when I receive them if the score is higher? Would they take that even though I would be sending it like early December? And they already have my application?

Yes, you can forward updates to your scores.
