I also just received my admissions decision for UVa! First acceptance :D! Looks like I’m in college, so long as I don’t screw up.
Just got into UMD Honors College as well!
Can anyone tell me how big of a deal it is to get Finalist for the National Achievement Scholarship Program? I was awarded Semifinalist during app time and listed the honor as such. Should I include this new information in my Deferral letter update to Harvard and in letters to other schools? It would appear that about 1,300 of the 1,600 Semifinalists matriculate to this round, so it doesn’t seem like too harsh of a cut, but I just want to get your opinions. Thanks!

I’d bet a shoe-in for Dartmouth. I’d go for it. You got the vitae. Next-do interview preparation. Prep for good essays. Anyone you know who has a connection go for it. Johns Hopkins may work to. I got a kid in there.
