Do I stand a chance with minimal ECs?

<p>I'm a white female from Illinois</p>

<p>UW GPA-3.83
W GPA- 4.5
ACT- 30 (waiting to get scores back, hoping for 31/32)
SAT II- predicting ~700 for both US History and MathIIC</p>

<p>ECs:
Varsity Soccer (9, 10, 11, 12)
-Most Improved Player (9)
Club Soccer (9, 10)
Newspaper (10, 11, 12)
-Editor-in-Chief (11)
NHS (11, 12)
Public Library Volunteer (10, 11) ~100 hrs
Part-Time Job (11, 12)</p>

<p>Awards/Honors:
Mu Alpha Theta, Cum Laude, Summa Cum Laude, High Honors</p>

<p>My teacher/counselor recs should be pretty good.</p>

<p>I know my ECs are lacking, but I've moved three times in high school and the school I was at the longest had a VERY minimal selection of clubs. I have also been in clubs/organizations but wasn't able to attend a lot (Youth Group, Environmental Club, Key Club) because of soccer so I don't feel I should put them on my application. That being said, soccer takes up pretty much all my time and that and newspaper have been something I have carried over to each school. Unfortunately, I moved in the middle of junior year so all of the leadership position I had set up for senior year got squashed. </p>

UW- Madison
Indiana University (legacy/safety)
Brandeis
UCLA</p>

<p>I will be applying to the LSA/CAS/COAS etc to all of these probably majoring in either history/economics or something of that nature</p>

<p>If you could state my chances based on my current scores/ecs and maybe give me some other suggestions that would be great!</p>

<p>you have good chances to the schools you are applying to. i'd say you'll get into at least a few. your ECs aren't that bad, either.</p>

<p>Well I wasn't sure since I have pretty much no leadership roles besides Editor-in-Chief to set me apart at the schools I am applying to! Anyone else have chances for me?</p>

<p>I'd say you definitely have a great shot at Michigan at least. A lot of kids from my school are going there, and few of them have as high of stats as you do. There is even one girl with somewhat comparable stats who's getting a full-ride there!</p>
