***do I Stand A Chance?

<p>Could u please tell me your opinion about what my chances are at these colleges are (cause i most likely WON’t get in to colgate ED-where i already applied :((</p>

<p>white female from Croatia</p>

<p>SAt 1300 (680v 620m)
TOEFL 273
GPA round 4.5 (on a 5.00 scale)
i have 17 courses throughout the year ( and my grades are like: 12 As, 2 Bs , 3 Cs)…those Cs will probably hurt me…</p>

<p>eccs.:
volleyball for the past 4 years
class president
school drama club
school video&newspaper club
amnesty international
took french courses outside school</p>

<p>worked as a carwasher past 2 summers
handed out flyers for some big supermarket</p>

<p>spent past 2 summers in Summer schools in the USA ( Taft and NMH)-great recommendations- got all As there</p>

<p>my school recommendations are great- all the best
my essay-well, nothing special, not good enough to impress</p>

<p>there are two important things to know :</p>

<li><p>Im an international student from Croatia- and there are none/very few students from croatia in these colleges</p></li>
<li><p>I would need(almost) a full scholarship or fin aid and i dont know how much that will hurt me</p></li>

<p>does coming form an underrepresented country count like minority?</p>

<p>no US only are "minorities". the rest is "international" I believe</p>

<p>how important for the admissions is the geography factor?</p>

<p>i think they like to have geographical diversity, so yes. Being from an underrepresented country might help you a bit. Yout TOEFL score is good, btw.</p>
