Do I stand a chance?

Researching different schools right now and I am slightly freaking out! Wondering if I stand an okay chance at schools such as Pomona College (my first choice and will be applying E.D.), Claremont McKenna, Georgetown, UCLA, Amherst

I prefer the small schools in an urban or near an urban setting that do have a name, any other recommendations that would be fitting, and do I have a chance at these schools listed?

Scores ( I’ve decided to focus on ACT)

English: 33
Math: 29
Reading: 31
Science: 26

Writing: 7

Composite: 30

I plan to take the ACT once more before applying, aiming for a 32.

Finally someone who is taking ACT! Although I’m taking SATs I might switch to see which test is better. I think you could try to raise your science, its the part where most struggle with. Aim for 30+ in each section.
Question: are you from Cali?
UCLA is a state school, so admissions regard instate as priority before outstate. Unless you’re some amazing athlete or underrepresented, or unless you have perfect scores/gpa and extracurricular, you have a smaller shot at state schools.
But you probably are in Cali if you wanna go to Pomona. I think if you raised you ACT score you might have a shot but of course I can’t guarantee that! It is still a reach school of course, but you’re chances of admittance might be higher from 12% to 30% etc.
Good luck!!!

Raising your ACT would definitely help. An ACT of 30 is in the bottom 25% for Pomona. http://www.pomona.edu/administration/institutional-research/files/CDS-2014-2015.pdf. The median ACT for the class of 2019 was 33. http://www.pomona.edu/news/2015/03/20-class-of-2019.aspx. The ED admission rate was 19.1% but that includes recruited athletes as well as Questbridge. http://tsl.pomona.edu/articles/2015/2/21/news/6011-5cs-release-early-decision-results. Georgetown seems like a better choice for an IR major but recommends 3 SAT subject tests even if submitting an ACT score. http://uadmissions.georgetown.edu/firstyear/preparation#TestRequirements
Have you thought about Tufts? Still very selective but a good choice for an IR major. Median ACT score is 32. http://admissions.tufts.edu/apply/accepted-student-profile/
