Do I stand a chance?

My only hesitance for University of Chicago is the supposed social environment. I have heard that the students are intense and study all the time, and I don't want to go to a college like that kind of social environment. However, I may be wrong, care to elaborate on University of Chicago? I know they have an amazing economics department, but aside from that, nothing else.

UChicago is a good school with a higher than average acceptance rate. I'd consider it too. Although, I think they're on the quarter marking period? I'm not a fan of that; perhaps thats why you've heard the 'students are intense'..theres not much room to fool around when the terms are so short.

Hmm good point, I'll definitely keep UChicago in mind now. It seems like my list keeps getting larger. Haha.

One last friendly bump. Thanks again everyone!

You only need 2 SAT IIs for the Ivies and most other schools. Georgetown requires 3 for some stupid reason, and Yale changed their requirments to 2 for this applying season.

About Chicago.... just because the acceptance rate is higher doesn't mean it's easier to get into than the schools on your list. It maintains its high acceptance rate because it intentionally turns away potential applicants who would not fit the school. Compared to the other schools on your list, it's a much more academically focused school and it has much less of a party scene.

i believe with harvard you still need 3...i would take three just to be safe, but don't take a third if you don't think you'll perform well on it

Thanks guys, and I checked Harvard's admission's site and it says I need three so I'm going to go ahead and retake Math II, take Physics and US History.
