Do I stand a chance?

<p>How are some ways to enhance my chances of getting into a good college like MIT?</p>

<p>Rising junior
Chinese American female
Go to an non-competitive public school in Minnesota</p>

<p>GPA weighted 3.96
unwieghted 4.11
Rank 11 out of 634</p>

<p>Haven't taken the SATs yet but projected score is something like 2100-2200 (BB practice tests)</p>

<p>Plan to take SAT II's in Math 2, Physics, and Chinese</p>

<p>Taking first AP classes junior year: English, Statistics, and Biology</p>

<p>ECs: Key Club, STAR, Spanish Club</p>

<p>Volunteering at the library around 3 months a year for 2 years. Will be tutoring freshman. Currently volunteering at a church 3 hrs/day.</p>

<p>Just applied for a job but I don't know if I'll get it.</p>

<p>keep the GPA impressive as it is, and continue to take a rigorous courseload. Get high SAT (or ACT) scores. Work on those essays/personal statements and get great recs. Some leadership positions, if possible. Consider applying EA. And hope for the best. Good luck lithium.</p>
