I participated in a french exchange program and traveled to France the summer before my junior year, hosted two french girls the summer before mysophomore year. Last summer I participated in summer program at Brown. Something that was also very interesting for me was that I recently attended a conference for international NGO’s at the UN with I man I know from Ghana. Pretty much I am very interested in economics and international relations, but I’m not 100% sure what I want to do. I have a strong commitment to social awareness which I discuss in one of my essays. I have not had any significant work experience. Instead I spend my time volunteering and giving back to the community, helping the people who really NEED the money.
I think my recs will be excellent, and I have another very strong connection to Penn which I’m not going to say because I want you guys to evaluate my chances without taking this into consideration.
Also, my brother currently attends Penn and is doing very well there (Dean’s list and stuff like that)

Mainly, I am obsessed with Penn. Going to Penn has been my goal since I was in elementary school. I love everything about it, academics, location, atmosphere, research opportunities etc. etc. My why penn essay definetly shows how much I want to be at Penn (now I just need to trim it down to one page :-/)

Sorry this turned out so long…I got a bit carried away!
