Do i stand any chance of getting readmitted?! Probably not

So i was a former UCD student. However I was academically dismissed for poor grades. I swear it’s not because i didn’t try, i try really really hard i have a lot of white hairs to prove all the stressing. After being kicked out basically, i enrolled in community college however it seems that as hard as i try i still can’t achieve anything. I took a math class but failed it and had to retake it again because this professor was so hard that almost half my class had to retake it anyway. after achieving pretty good grades in summer school i decided that maybe i can go back but decided to delay for winter quarter instead. However i was so freaking out about whether or not i was able to go back, work, and tons and tons of stress, i ended up failing my classes again. I’m retaking those classes now but I don’t know if i can go back. I really would like to go back to UCD but I don’t know if they even want me. Anyone have any ideas what I can do if they don’t want me even though i really hope there is this small glimmer of a chance they do. However I am taking the initiative to retake these classes because i know that i know all the material I just don’t know why when i take exams even though i feel very confidant when taking them, i somehow just screw up.

From what you have written, it seems that you were dismissed for poor grades, and you have continued to earn poor grades at the community college level. Based on this, you will not be readmitted. (But you really need to talk to someone at the admissions office for a definitive answer).

Maybe you should consider transferring to Sac State instead.

You must have done OK in High School to get admitted to UCD to begin with, so you must be a capable student. I think t what you need to get a year or so of good grades to be able to get back into a UC.

Whats your major? What were your high school stats?

If you are honestly trying really hard in community college and failing classes, school might not be the best thing for you. If you can’t pass the under division courses in your major, what makes you think you can pass the upper division courses in your major?

I agree with strykermom. There’s no way you would have even been admitted if you weren’t capable. And your summer school experience just reaffirms that you are capable.

It sounds like your main problem is anxiety so that’s what you need to learn how to tackle it. Try to get your hands on some practice timed tests and take a bunch before your exams. That way, you’ll feel more comfortable with the material. Do yoga (it really works!), take off some time to enjoy yourself, practice good time management (big one here).

If you ever need someone to talk to feel free to PM me. You can definitely get back to UCD. You just need to get yourself back in the right mindset.
