Do I still have a chance? Or did I mess up?

I always wanted to go to UNC-chapel hill ever since I moved to NC. However, my grades freshman and sophomore year werent as good as I wanted them to be. I got involved with the wrong people when I started school which prevented me from doing my best. After 10th grade, I got rid of those "friends", made new ones, and set a new focus in academics. My overall question is: Can I make it into my dream school (UNC) with these grades? I know its not all about grades. ( I have some pretty exceptional extracurriculars aswell). I do show an upward trend, but it starts junior year.

will this upward trend be enough for schools such as UNC or any of the UC's?

My GPA unweighted/weighted before senior year:

This is the wrong place to put this… Try over here: [What Are My Chances? - College Confidential](Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums)

But a few B’s won’t keep you out of UNC.

Even though this is a chance me, I can still help. Colleges love upward trends because it shows improvement. I got a C my freshman year and it sucks, but I kept going on from there. I agree with poster #2 B’s aren’t going to stop you from UNC. Just keep working hard, and I think you’ll make it.

That’s 12 ap classes before senior year. They’ll see you’re a hard worker, don’t worry
