Do I still have a chance to improve me chances?

Well I'm a junior in high school right now and I really have my eyes set on MIT. On my list, it's probably the hardest school to get into but at this point I really feel like like I have no chance at all.

My Freshmen and Sophomore GPA combined came out to about 3.8. :/

My school doesn't actually rank but I'm almost positive I'm in the top 10%.

I'm active in clubs but I still haven't managed to win any big awards.

I haven't yet taken the SAT's but on practice tests I consistently score over 2100 so I feel like I'll be able to get a 2200+ score for sure.

I'm not sure really...most of my friends are telling me to give up on MIT considering at this point I don't have a chance.

Any thoughts?

Get involved in math and science related stuff and take the hardest classes available. Those are the two biggest things oyu can do for MIT at this point. What are you taking this year? And what AP’s have you taken and will you take? That would factor pretty hard for top schools, since a GPA tell little.

I decided to double up and take both AP Chemistry & AP Physics which are surprisingly my two best classes as of this moment despite being the most difficult…
