Do I still have a shot at engineering?

I am a sophomore in high school and...

My extra-curriculars and notable achievements as follows:

Star Boy Scout.

Volunteer at “Class Agape” 5 hours weekly.

Concertmaster of String Orchestra Freshman year.

Blue belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Member of Red Cross of Orange County Chapter.

Member of Environmental Club.

Member of Wolfpack Club.

Recipient of the “Outstanding Musicianship Award” Freshman year.

I want to apply to Purude for engineering. Currently, I have an unweighted GPA of 3.85 and my classes are as follows:

CP Humanities 10

CP U.S. History 10

CP Geometry :/

Weight Training

Spanish 2

Concert Orchestra

CP Integrated Science 2

Note: "Average" sophomores at my school are only allowed to take AP Art History and AP Music Theory. My weighted freshman GPA was 2.9. Yes, terrible. I have taken the PSAT, but my school has not released the scores yet. Do I still have a shot at Purude for engineering?

Of course you still have a shot. Continue to concentrate on your studies. All colleges like to see an upward trend in grades. Purdue is an excellent choice for engineering.

Thanks. Additional questions:
What kind of extra-curriculars should I do SPECIFICALLY for engineering at Purdue?
What would I have to accomplish to obtain a full four-year scholarship to study engineering at Purdue?

do anything research/math/science related. Most of those scholarships end up with vals, so keep your grades up. As far as oos admissions, theyre not hard at all. Keep it above a 3.5 UW and score a 30+ ACT and your in guaranteed.

Thank you all.
