Do I still have chance?

hey guys i was wondering if you all might help me with something

im my 9th grade year I had 3 B's and one lousy C+. that was just semesters though. I got and A in all of them the next semester. In 10th grade I mad 34 on the ACT and had all A's (93-100). In my junior year I had ALL A's and took the sat II and made 800 on math, 800 on verbal, 780 on chemistry, and 790 on physics. I have taken 10 honors classes so far and my gpa is 3.91 unweighed and 4.22 weighed. Did 9th grade killl my chances?

No! Upward grade trends are good.

in good range...now go explore that MIT app...by the way spartan...whats your name?

Alexander

But everyone calls me Sandy.

Context... everything, every single little thing on your MIT application is affected by context.

The classes that you got those grades in matter a lot.

i also have an upward trend but not until second semester of soph year. i had mostly b's, some a's and no c's but it went for 3 semesters. then i got straight a's in all honors and 3 ap classes.

if you got poor grades in honors classes, but then perfect grades in ap classes, does it matter that you did bad in the lower level classes? i mean that i did bad in easier classes and good in harder classes, do colleges expect it to be the other way around? whatever, its not like i can change my frosh grades.
