i was thinking of playing a sport in college, but im not sure if its worth my while

You have fun and get in shape?

so no then?

Overall, most graduate programs rather see mastery of your field (i.e. research experience if applicable) and academic success (high GPA and test scores) than a well rounded student. Of course there are exceptions, but many students have in their head that EC's matter for grad school simply because they did matter when applying for undergrad. With that said, can't playing a sport still be worth your while for other reasons?
