Do international students have an advantage if they do not request financial aid?

Since the majority of intl. applicants apply for financial aid, is that true? Someone told me that, but I doubt it...

?

Yes. Almost all colleges are not need-blind for international students, so needing less financial aid will increase your chances.

^^^yes, particularly those schools that are expanding their global presence. Williams, Amherst, Bowdoin (LACs) for instance.

If you are an international student and you need financial aid, your chances of acceptance are lower.

Amherst is need-blind to internationals so no, your chances are the same there.

(oh no I’m not an international student, I was just wondering.)

I hate to say this but if you are an international student applying for financial aid, you are pretty much screwed.
