Or do they know nothing about you before the interview?</p>
<p>Depending on the region, the interviewer may get a copy of your app (apparently this occurs on Long Island) or bare minimum about you: name, high school, whether you’re a legacy, and whether you have a prospective major.</p>
<p>Interviewers also may Google you (It’s also a good idea for you to Google your interviewer) or even may be on CC. Yes, one time I was randomly assigned to interview someone whom I initially had encountered on CC. He had put enough info about himself–including naming our relatively small city – in his Harvard chances thread that I could recognize him. To my knowledge, he never realized he’d met me here.</p>
