Zant: Shhh it's a good story! Kind of. Ok maybe it's a little pathetic. At least we know each other, right? ;-;

lol, sure, I guess it's sweet in a really dorky sad way. :p

No, they don't , sweetie.

Ahh, you ARE quite jaded :p

What nationality are you Zante?

Chinese-Mongolian, why?

Can you do the long distance relationship thing? That's completely up to you two. As said, it depends on what you want.

I've been in a long distance relationship for over a year now - almost a year in a half. My boyfriend lives about 45 minutes away. I'm going to be a senior, and he'll be starting college next year, which shifts the time up to an hour and 15 minutes. Plus he won't have his car, so I need to get my license now to go see him, haha. It just depends on what you two want though. If you're just in it for physical stuff, it won't work. There have been times where I haven't seen my boyfriend over 3 months (conflicting schedules) - could you handle something like that? She'll be busy in college, freshman year and all. When you do see them, you really need to take advantage of it - even if your idea of that is staying home, watching a movie, and falling asleep during it. Is seeing her going to outweigh hardparts of not seeing her?

I would say to at least try it. Enjoy your summer together, and try it. If it doesn't work out, explain to eachother and just have a clean break - you can still remain friends. Seriously, the key in long distance relationships is talking - you'll have to talk to eachother about everything. When you keep things from one another, the problems will rise. Only you two can figure out what you want. With whatever you decide, good luck.

define long distance. if the answer is living half hour away, then it'd work. across the state/country, then no.

"I met her last July on CC, we met in August physically to go visit colleges, we met again for Christmas break, she came to my prom in April, I went to her prom and graduation in May, she came to my graduation in June, and now I am staying with her till the end of summer in NY while working at a law firm before we head off to college. It's strange that we met on CC but I'm glad to have found her "

It's probably not that unrealistic if you live close by to the person of interest or you eventually go to the same college as he/she. Or it could be due to other circumstances such as these, it is a small world after all. It's all about how badly they wanted the hookup/relationship to last...

Seriously, I never knew people start doing it when they meet on here. Talk about craig's list status.

OMG... legendofmax is my hero... That is def. the first time I ever heard of anything like that happening in CC...

are you looking for love on here or what?

I dated someone I met on here. It didn't work out, we're not talking to each other now, but it was fun while it lasted. :)

better question = why would you bump a 2+ year old thread?

^ I didn't know that.

ok so i was scrolling through here and i see all these people saying living an hour away is a long distance relationship. i do not think i agree. i am in a long distance relationship. i live in ky they live in ny. we have been going strong since the summer and we do not plan on going to the same college. everything works if you let it but it still depends on what kind of person you are. some people cant handle it...some people can...

you could always have phone sex, so it could work
