Do mediocre SAT subject tests = death? :(

So my SAT IIs aren't fantastic, but the rest of my app is okay (or so I hope). Do you think this will really affect anything? How strongly does Cornell consider SAT IIs?

I'm applying CAS-- Asian Studies btw, and my SAT IIs were Lit and Math 2 (so thank god they wouldn't mess up my prospective major at all)

It may, but it all depends on what you got. If you got at least a 1350 on the two then you'll probably be fine. Anything lower than that may affect your application. Don't forget though that your SAT Is are very important too so since you did fine on those, they may overlook the problem.

depends on how bad your scores are...

If you took many and bombed 1-2 , it will be ok. I'm pretty sure CAS look at top 2 right? I know since CALS is the only school where subject tests are optional and not required, they cannot hurt one's chances of admission.

i only took 2. -_-;;

math 2-- 650 (ACK)
and lit-- 680 (not great, but okay i guess...)
SAT Is were 1400/2110 (750 CR, 650 M, 710 W)
...so basically i'm pretty abysmal at math.

hahaha i got a 530 on math 2. if that doesnt scare you i dont know what does. i retook and got a 610 on math 1.....

for hotel, i spoke to a person in admissions and they said that anything below 600 is the "red zone", but she also said that only made a difference for MATH because that is the only hotel required one. so....if it is on a test subject that is not required, then i wouldnt worry.

well your SAT IIs arent that far from your SAT I
