Do military dependents receive state aid/scholarships?

I am a resident of another state and I plan to go to school in Maryland. Will I qualify for state grants and scholarships and all that good stuff or only federal monies?

What is your parent state of residence…the one in the military?

My dad is a resident of Florida, but I think that doesn’t matter. I know military dependents get instate tuition where their parent is stationed at which in this case is Maryland. The problem is I don’t know if I will recieve any aid from the state or qualify for there scholarships.

What state grants or scholarships does Maryland offer? If these are need based awards, and you are deemed an instate resident for tuition purposes, your EFC of $30,000 will not put you in the running for need based grants that exceeds the instate cost of attendance at Maryland public universities.

Well my EFC is not actually 30k it is lower I just decided to use that figure because it is nice and rounded. My EFC is closer 20k

A $20,000 EFC would NOT make you eligible for any low income grant money from the state of Maryland. What other money do you think they have to offer?
