Im a senior in high school and have applied to PSU. I want to major in Mechanical engineering with a focus on BME/design. I heard that you dont declare your major until later and that people may be put in DUS. Does that mean you go to school longer or something?
@Ajpat123 It does not mean that you will go to school longer. It is just the Division of Undergraduate Studies and while in it you take general ed. and prerequisite courses for the major you want. You apply to your major the second semester of your sophomore year. That is how it works for the business school and I assume it is similar for engineering but maybe someone from engineering can tell you for sure.
