Do most people attach resumes?

I have a few strong leadership positions in clubs and the such, but i also have a bunch of not-so-strong leadership positions. ie simple memberships.

I'm sure the 6 or so spaces for EC won't be enough for everything on the app, so should i build a resume?

everyone at my school pads up a resume. i think they expect it

I doubt everyone attaches resumes to their application. It just depends - if you have something worthwhile to say. Don't rehash your entire application because then that'd be pointless.

our school encourages it. since the common app only has 6 lines, all the kids who have 36 lines' worth of EC's do it. i have a two page "resume" which just has all of my activities in an organized format. i know some people who have 6 page resumes.

I put it in the "additional information" box. It's only a page long, but I just put the really important things. I don't want to bore the adcoms.

i'm not doing it. i don't have that many ecs, only a few that i care about.. and isn't that what adcoms are looking for anyway? involvement in a few good ones rather than a hella long list..

Could anyone send me his or her "resume" ? Just to see how one should look like?

Thanks!

Attach a resume if it is necessary to include information which you cannot get on to the Common App. If it is a rehash of what is already in the table, don't do it. My D couldn't fit everything in, so is attaching a resume. She typed "See Attachment" in the appropriate box.

rehash... what about less significant roles in ec's? like club member?

^ I'm an officer of like 5 clubs and participate in a ton, but I fit everything in the spaces + the additional info box, which I put like 900 words in...so....I don't see the need...
