SAT 2030 (650 math, 680 writing, 700 reading) retaking it.
Subject tests- 590 on Math II and a 640 on Literature both of which I am definitely retaking
I can easily get my subject tests up, they were a last minute thing, but I'm afraid I've plateaued on the SAT Reasoning. Your thoughts?

How do you think I measure up for these schools?

Well, I think that if you just get your test scores up, like your sat iis, ull be fine…its funny, cuz im in the exact situation as you are! i just need to retake some tests, and no more stupid testing! testing is the only thing thats actually holding me back now! everything else is solid…

duke and stanford are definently high reaches but i wouldnt send the math subject score try to get it up. i know stanford is very very selective your a good match for unc pomona.
as for rice i think the legacy could get you in but its still a low reach

I don’t think your test scores will kill you, but better test scores will certainly raise your chances. It’s one of those things that you can’t really know without being inside the adcom’s meeting room. Retake if you have the time, money, desire, and think the scores can and will come up.

Westmont - sorry, I don’t know anything about this school
UA - safety
Claremont Mckenna - reach
Pomona - reach
UNC Chapel Hill - reach
UVA - low reach
Emory - match
UCSD - match
Rice - match, although I think with the legacy boost you’re in
Duke - reach
Stanford - reach

I agree with Clg210 that your reasoning test isnt bad enough to make your application a throw away, but really try to get the subject tests out of the low 600s. Everything else is very good.
Also, what state do you live in(sorry if you said it already)
So i think:

Westmont - no idea
UA - in
claremont Mckenna - low reach(16 percent acceptance rate)
Pomona - reach
Unc chapel hill - instate match, out of state low reach.
uva - instate match, out of state low reach.
emory - match or high match
ucsd - i think match.
rice - match/ high match, just because of the legacy thing. Otherwise would be a low reach
Duke - big reach
stanford - big big reach.
Good luck!

I don’t know too much about the schools you’re applying to, but your ECs are pretty good. I don’t think your SAT Reasoning is killer for you, because you’re obviously applying for a photography program? Guessing. Still might want to get it up, though. Anyway, as long as you make it clear that photography is a passion (might suggest sending your work to some more places that’ll print it), and you have a convincing portfolio, you should be a very competitive applicant. Good luck!

Photography is not going to be my major, probably only a minor. Political Science will be my major, but I am submitting an arts supplement to each of the schools (that take them) which will definitely help my chances.

Westmont - No Clue
UA - Safety
Claremont Mckenna - High Reach
Pomona - High Reach
UNC Chapel Hill - Depends on if you are in state or not…if instate: match; if not: reach
UVA - Reach
Emory - Reach
UCSD - Match
Rice (legacy) - High Match/Low Reach
Duke - High Reach
Stanford - Wicked High Reach

Your rank and GPA are good, but your SAT score should be a bit higher for the schools you’re looking at. Try to get 700+ for your SAT IIs and you should be fine.

Westmont - In
UA - In
Claremont Mckenna - High Reach
Pomona - High Reach
UNC Chapel Hill - Reach
UVA - Low Reach
Emory - High Match
UCSD - Match
Rice - Match, legacy should get you in

UNC Chapel Hill - high match
UVA - high match
Emory - reach
UCSD - not familiar
Rice (legacy) - reach

Sorry, most of these schools are southern, and I am from new england, so I can’t be of that much help. Everything on your app looks solid EXCEPT for SAT scores. Sorry, but you cannot and will not be competitive at most of those schools with those scores. Get your SAT up to a 2100 and you’ll be in the running, get them past 2200 and you will have a really good shot at most of those schools.
