do my stats even stand a chance anymore at the "upper" UCs?

Hi! I have been looking around CC, and people have fantastic stats! Comparing mine to theirs, mine look pretty weak. I'm thinking, just on average, do my stats have absolutely no chance anymore at the upper-UCs, such as UCLA??

GPA: weighted: 4.05
unweighted: 3.8

SAT II: History: 740 Lit: 630

SAT I: hoping for 2100+

decent extracirriculars, few leadership positions. I know this is pretty vauge, but I don't need a full evalutation, but just your quick opinions! :) Thanks in advance!

What's your UC GPA? A 2100 and UC GPA over 3.9, top 10% of class with decent ECs and a good essay will make you competitive at all UCs other than Cal and LA. For a good shot at those you want over 4.0, 2200 and something that makes you stand out. Highly impacted majors (engineering, bio) at some mid level UCs require more, too.

Lit score needs some improvement.

If you can get OVER 2100, I'd say UCLA is between a match and a slight reach for you. Bring out your personality and character in your essay, get some good recs, and pray

hello88:

UCLA/UCB: Slight Reach
UCSD: Match
UCD/UCSB/UCI: Safe Match
UCSC/UCR/UCM: Safety

thanks so much for taking the time out to reply everyone! I appreciate it. Yeah, I agree, UCLA is a pretty big reach...hopefully, my SATs will be amazing or something. :)

No recs needed for UC's. I think.
