I'm reading into Northeastern and while I like the school I am getting the impression from student comments that credits from Northeastern do not transfer to other schools. Is this true?

Where did you get that idea?

Why go to a school if you're planning on transferring? Just curious.

It would depend on which course you took at Northeastern and whether the college you transfer to has an equivalent. For example, we checked to see whether courses taken in the first two pre-pharm years would transfer to the UC/CSU universities if the student did not qualify to continue in the pharmacy program and we learned that the bio, chemistry, math and English were all transferable. Most of the third year phamacy courses were not transferable except as electives because they are too specialized for any other major.
Fortunately NEU has been a great choice for our s and there has been no desire to transfer!

Community college credits transfer to Yale. Northeastern is an accredited, decent university. Therefore, credits will transfer to practically any school. The main caveat is to make sure you take general courses that are offered/fit the "core" of other schools. An LAC, for instance, will likely not accept any business/nursing credits.
