DO NOT read if you DONT want dissapointment, ROLLING (CALS especially)

I like many of you have not heard back from CALS, right now I'm taking this as a sign that they are just waiting until april to send out my rejection. I believe this not only because of last years admissions dates for CALS, but also because I think that CALS has already sent out most of their admissions already. Sorry for the downer guys. Good luck.
My stats are 93 Avg. 10 APs, 1430 btw 580 verbal

That's just more speculation.

I'm assuming you got a good score on math but then again 580 + 800 <1430

How many times are you going to post this. Since the last time you said it, several people have gotten in. However, I do agree with you that they aren't sending out hardly any more rolling acceptances. A few people will be offered admission on April 1st, some will be offered a 2 year guaranteed transfer and then you have the waitlist. Good luck everybody in this final week.

Once again Oels, you create another topic saying that we're all doomed, yet you provide no evidence.

There still are acceptances on the way. It's quite likely that I won't get in, but there's still a window of time.

I agree with norcalguy, you can't have a 580 verbal and a 1430 overall, thats a 850 math.

Maybe he meant 1430 on the new SAT :-D

Vash: It's good we're in agreement on that matter:)

Or maybe 1430 on old & 580 on the writing SAT II. =()

Its probably a typo, maybe he meant 680....

what is cals?

Well, everyone is going to find out sooner or later. So until then, don't make people worry unnecessarily by predicting doom.

a two-year guaranteed transfer? what's that?

Two year guaranteed transfer allows a student to improve his grades and prove that he/she can do college level work, but at another school. If the student can maintain or exceed a certain grade level (usually a 3.5) doing college work, Cornell will offer the student automatic acceptance as a transfer student beginning junior year. It's really a terrific program (and a rather generous one) that Cornell offers. I know of a couple of students who have taken advantage of this opportunity and who have succeeded beyond their wildest imaginations. I wish more schools had a similar program.

Somehow, even though I have a 1600, 800/800/780, other good stats such as top 2% AMC and AIME, Gov school, etc, near top of the class, and good ECs...and even legacy

I still think Cornell must hate me for some reason.
I have not gotten anything from CALS yet.

I thought my essays were decent as well.
Oh well, this girl with a 1250 in my class got into the Architecture school with less than 1/3 of the stuff I have in academics, leadership, ECs.

Don't mind me, I'm just a little bitter.

makes u wonder why work hard at all in HS.

Cheer up, Cornell doesn't hate you. You guys need to keep in mind that this is rolling admissions, not just rolling acceptances. People have been rejected as well, they're just not as likely to hang around on here and brag about it.

And like someone on this board said before (was it you, hotelie?), the admissions office isn't that dumb as to make their decisions so obvious. They'll keep a few "yes"es for the big day. It's not the end till then, PGSS04!

I think that rejectances are all sent out in april, along with the other schools rejectances.

i meant 580 on the writing btw, sry for the mix up

Haha in ten days' time it'll be fun to look back and see how we got it all wrong/right... LOL sigh the game of college admissions...

what the hell is point of talking all negative since we all will find out soon enough!! UGH! I hate ppl doing this!
