Do NYC kids wanna stay in the city for college?

<p>I ask this because i have cousins who actually want to stay and study in Manhattan since they live in queens and bronx and they feel that the city is big enough to always find some new life experiences. While I'm personally convinced that nyc is the greatest city in the world (whenever i go i never wanna leave and no other city has made me feel this way), obviously not everyone is gonna agree and think its best to explore the world outside of NY but i wanna hear the general consensus:</p>

<p>Do you guys wanna stay in NYC cuz you already got the best or you wanna leave to experiment with a place different than what you're used to for college?</p>

<p>My daughters went to high school in Manhattan, and when it came to applying to colleges it was “been there, done that”. They wanted to try some place else. I think they will end up moving into Manhattan after college to work, however. On the other hand, some of their friends moved from their parent’s apartment to a dorm down the block for college. I didn’t see the point of that, but that’s the college experience they wanted.</p>
