Do Online Classes count for 4 years of college?

Hey Everyone,

Recently, at my high school I tried to choose AP Statistics for my senior year but for some scheduling/logistical error the school was not able to give it to me, even when I approached them. That being said, since I know most colleges want to see 4 years of math (I am applying for Engineering) I am deciding to take AP Stats in an online high school instead (such as Apex Learning possibly).
Would anyone have any insight in how colleges would view me taking AP Stats online given this situation, and whether they would include this into the 4-years of math? I can have my math teacher explain the situation in the rec letter she is writing as well.

   Thanks for your help!

Or would anyone know how online classes look to colleges in general?

Lots of people who can’t fit particular classes into their schedules take them online or at a community college. This really is quite common.

Speak with your guidance counselor about the best way to report it.

Usually, those online course wi show up on your HS transcript just like a regular course.
