Hey, this saturday will be the first time I take the SATs and I'm wondering, do people usually get better scores on the real SAT than they do on practice tests they take? I have been using the collegeboard test book so I think the questions will be about the same level. Anyways, any input from either personal experience or what they've heard is very appreciated. Justifications would be nice too haha. Thanks!

Yes, when I was taking Old 10 Reals last May I was getting in the 1500 area, but on the real test I got 1550. Similiarly, when preparing for the SAT II Writing this January, I was consistently getting 740's but came out with an 800 on the test.

zogoto, you have exactly 402 posts. that's awesome.

I usually do worse on the real thing because there's more pressure.

I perform better under pressure, generally, so I hope that I do a bit better on my SAT tommorrow...

wait i don't get it... why is 402 such a magical number?

I hope I do better :P I got 750 v 660 M on my last practice test. In December I got only a 600 V, 600 M :(
