Everyone thinks I'm a freshman. I'm a senior.

Everyone thinks I’m well into my twenties, I’m only 17. I’m taking a course at the local community college once a week, and everyone there is 30+ and they all think I’m in my mid-twenties and are shocked to hear that I’m a high school senior.

I’m pretty tall for a girl (5’10) and I have a deep/mature inflection in my voice that makes me sound less teenager-y than my friends. I’ve been mistaken for a teacher at my school by some kids who didn’t know me when I had gotten dressed up for Model UN.

I’m 17 years old and taking all college classes. I’m the only dual-enrollment kid in my classes, so I guess most people assume I’m at least 18. But it’s not by virtue of how I look.
I look older than my age if anything, but only by maybe a year or so.

everything thinks i’m younger… they think i’m 15, but i’m 17! there’s a significant difference between 15 and 17.

and people are always like your outfit looks “cute” today or something and i’m like toddLERS ARE CUTE

@clementines2016 - I don’t associate the word "cute’ with only toddlers, lol. I describe guys as cute since I’m not very fond of the word “hot” haha.

yes but then combined with the youngness… i can’t escape childhood
and i’m on the verge of adulthood!! adults should be sophisticated

i don’t like the word hot, either. but i use handsome or something

Well, I never really describe outfits as “sophisticated” unless I was describing what, like, Hillary Clinton was wearing at a gala or something. Most people describe outfits as cute or nice, usually one of the two.

but cute is the most common compliment i get on everything not just my outfits

that or “awwww” which i still haven’t decided is meant as a compliment or not

and i meant sophisticated as in… an overall air lol i don’t know. maybe mature or sexy LOL

I’m tall but I have the generic Asian baby face.

I’ve had one person ask what college I was at and what I was majoring in when I said was a junior, but that happened once… most other people think I look my age within a year either way.

@yakisoba, awwwwwwwwww

see isn’t that annoying, yakisoba?

(i’m sorry if that offended you. just joking)

Omg. You don’t even understand. My birthday was 3 days ago, and so when I went to school, everyone was like, " Hey are old are you? 15?"
Well thanks for letting me answer. No, I’m 14, and the only reason why they say that is because I’m really tall. EVERY time I tell someone my age they say I look like a 15/16 yr old. It’s kinda funny, yes I admit, but ridiculous. I’m really starting to think if people think I got left back/started school late because if my height and face. Which isn’t the case. Can’t blame them, I do look older than my actual age.

There were multiple times in summer camp where EVERYONE thought/swore I was a staff because I’m so big. All the staff from the other camps thought I was a staff too, especially after I beat their kids in track and field. I wouldn’t get vouchers or anything at first because I was thought to be a staff. Lol

People think I am younger since I am not super tall.

I look my age when I shave; I can pull off early 20s with some scruff.

When my daughter transferred to her 4 yr. university at age 20 and we were moving her in, everyone thought our 15 yr. old daughter was the college student and the 20 year old was in high school. When she was doing her student teaching at a high school the campus supervisors kept asking for her hall pass. She was 23. Now at 29 she looks a little older but most people think she is still in college. Our younger daughter has always looked older than the older one. It has always annoyed the older one.

I’m 16, but I definitely look at least 18. If I don’t shave I can pass for 20ish on an off day. I know plenty of people are gonna be shocked next year when they find out I’m class of 15 and haven’t graduated.

I’m 16, and most usually mistake me for a 14 year-old. But one time someone thought I was 12…

I’m 18, and how old I look just kind of depends on what I do with my hair and whether I wear glasses or contacts. If I leave my hair curly and wear contacts, I look around my real age. But for some reason when I’ve walked around with straightened hair and glasses, people have thought I was like 15-16.

I’m 14 but people think I’m 10.

When I was a freshman, people thought I was a junior. Now that I’m a senior, people think I look like a freshman.
