Do Religious courses transfer to UC's

Hi everyone. I am transferring to UCLA next fall, and I'm wondering if my religious course from Cal Baptist University, "Jesus And The Gospels" will transfer and, or appear on my GPA.

Credentials: Male, 60 units so far, (Retaking courses to go to 3.8) Right now I have a 3.6, plus student body senate experience (Will continue to serve). I also am a member of the track team, PBL, and I work part time doing Bartender gigs and part-time as a Massage Therapist/Personal Trainer (Hoping work experience will increase my chances). Due to my financial hardships I have an EFC of Zero off of my parent's income. I receive veterans dependent benefits for UC's and State schools (Tuition is covered by this).

P.S. I'm also looking in transferring to Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine, or Chapman for spring 2011 (I'm waiting to see if I will be financially assisted to were I could afford to go, as well as off campus living expenses.

prbly not in the godless land of California

I hope not. I have a “C” in this class

I should add that this course will transfer for Cal-State San Bernardino

Well, a lot of schools have religious studies departments. But I’m assuming this class teaches with a doctrine? If so, it probably wouldn’t transfer.

Thanks for the reinforcement Rippa. I do think I will have to check with and find out if it does for each school I look at. I don’t understand what the Doctrine factor means in this equation unfortunately. I’m hoping no schools take it. Its a course based off the Christian religion, I liked the class, but it’s hurting my GPA

Does UCLA transfer grades as well as credits? Many schools only transfer credits, not grades.

I heard about that from a buddy from UCR. I’m not sure, but even if the credit transfers, it will still limit my GPA to 3.6
