I'm a junior from NY who scored 231 on the PSATs this year, meaning I'm fairly sure I'll be NMSF. When applying for Finalist status, are you allowed to submit SAT scores from sophomore year for the scores? I took the SATs May sophomore year, and scored well enough that I have no desire to take the test again.

I took the SATs May sophomore year

The testing period is for about 26 months…from Oct of soph year to Dec of senior year. So, I think you’re OK.

for the current seniors, the testing period was Oct 2008 thru Dec 2010 (which is October of Soph year thru Dec of Senior year)

Ok, thanks!

Be sure to have your score sent!!! code 0085

And…BTW…congrats on your excellent PSAT score!!!

Thanks! Before I got the scores, I was worried I would get screwed over by being in NY as opposed to, say, Wyoming.

LOL…Yes, those of you in those high cut-off states have it rough.

But, a 231 is more than enough for any state!!! You could pass out a few of those points and still make it. :)

Can I ask what your SAT was? And, which schools you’re aiming for?

I wish I could; a few of my friends are right around the cut-off points.

And sure, 2310 (Ironic, I know). My top schools right now are Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, and UNC-Chapel Hill.
