Do SAT Subject Tests Predict the Future?

Well, I took the math level 2 test and got my scores recently. I am very upset. I got a 610. And okay, I did not study too much, but I just feel bad about this; I did study. My friend did not study at all and got an 800. It makes me look nervously at my future. My other test scores include a 700 chem, 31 ACT, and 2050 SAT (I studied a decent amount for the SAT). Like anyone else on these boards I am ambitious, but I am afraid that this foreshadows low scores on the GRE or GMAT.

I do get good grades - I have a 4.0. My strengths lie in studying and doing well in classes, but my standardized test skills are weak. Obviously I am still above average, but I feel so horrible about this. I want to do well. I am going to a state school unless I miraculously get accepted at Brown.

Can I still succeed on the GRE, GMAT, and college GPA?

Thanks.

No, subject tests don’t predict the future. There are many people that are particularly strong at math and can easily get an 800 on the Math 2 exam. While you may be intelligent, you are just not part of that group of people. (and neither am I -___-)
