<p>I think that if the college saw you did the AP class and had a spot for AP scores on its application and you did not fill in anything for AP score, this might make it look like it ws not a very rigorous AP class - and if you got an A in the class they might not take it very seriously.</p>
<p>Unless the college was already really familiar with the quality of the AP classes at your school.</p>
