My freshman year gpa of 3.42 is holding me back. I'm a junior and right now my cumulative gpa is 3.68 and I know that if I keep up with my current grades I will have a 3.75 and MAYBE a 3.8 when all is said and done. However, it may take all of my remaining 3 semesters to reach my goal of 3.75/3.8 and it would certainly be to my benefit if all of the semesters would be considered by colleges so that my gpa is at its highest.

For example: If I was applying to a college/university that had an application deadline in the fall, it would certainly not look as good as one where another semester is included and my gpa is better

And for that matter, lets say I have a 3.73 gpa by January senior year, and I would have a 3.75 if the second semester senior year was included, and a college's merit based scholarship changes when the gpa is 3.75 or above... would my last semester grades be counted towards this merit based scholarship or not?

Thanks
