Do senior year grades matter?

<p>Hi, I'm applying to mid to high tier UCs. I am taking 5 AP classes this year. I know that senior year classes aren't used in UC GPA, but they see our mid year report before they send us our acceptance letters? So would it help me get accepted if I got straight A's this semester? </p>

<p>On a related note, if I get accepted, would it be safe to say that I can get by and not be rescinded second semester with straight B's?</p>
