Do smart people use the internet often?

Do smart people, like those who got accepted into Harvard or MIT, use the internet often? Yes, they can use internet resources, but I read an article "Is Google making us stupid?". It says in the article that the internet is changing the way we think. How about those who were just plain curious of some things?

There is no one answer. I personally have friends that are literally geniuses, some of them have Facebook accounts, email addresses, Twitter accounts and are often on the internet, others have an email that they check less then once a week. It is more about how you use the resources provided then if you use them.

Yes I do use the internet.

The general consensus is that CC is full of smart people, right? And CC is on the internet, right?

Check and mate.

nope. "smart people " don’t use internet. If they need to send a letter to a person from a distance of 21 hours, they visit the people by themselves. lol

Yes, smart people use the internet. As do dumb people. Basically everyone uses the internet besides some members of the older generations.

Yes, the internet is changing the way we think. Many of us have the ability to look something up whenever, which makes our attention span shorter and our way of receiving knowledge different. Sure, we know way more than people did 30 years ago. Our knowledge is expansive, but it’s very shallow. It used to be that people had knowledge of only certain things, but they knew very much about those topics.

So in short, smart people do use the internet. The internet isn’t making people stupid, it’s changing us.

The smarter you are, the more useful the internet is to you.

In my estimation, most young people in first-world countries use the Internet often. I don’t think it has much to do with intelligence or lack thereof.
