Do some schools really PREFER the SAT?

<p>I have heard that many good schools, especially in the northeast and west coast, typically prefer a higher SAT and don't really credit the ACT as much. True or false?</p>

<p>Never. If anything, it is always seen as equal with ACT, or ACT is preferred. There has been a handful of lawsuits and complaints about the new SAT being crap.</p>
