I am a Stanford legacy (Dad is a master's degree holder). Will any kind of legacy advantage (minimal, I understand), kick in only if I apply REA, or will applying RD be also OK. I heard that some universities give the legacy advantage only for early applicants. Thanks for your input.

Any thoughts? It seems like other top univs are explicit about this.

REA offers no published advantage to legacy applicants. About 85% of applicants whose parents received an undergrad degree are turned down.

Thanks for the data point…
