Do students have to report C's or just grades lower than C's to colleges they have applied to?

If these are grades in your first semester, your school will be sending a mid-year report with all of your first semester grades, Cs, Bs, Ds, and As. This information will be used in college admissions.

I’m talking second semester.

All college acceptances are contingent on successful completion of a high school diploma. At selective schools, there’s usually also the caveat (same one as first semester) that your work is of a similar academic quality. Once you’ve decided what college you’ll be attending, you will need to send a final transcript to that school. Is one C acceptable? Probably, yes. If you start getting two/three or a D or two, just like with mid-years, you run the risk of starting out on probation or possibly having your admissions revoked altogether.

You’re high school will send both you first and second semester grades in.
If you’ve already been accepted into the college, chances are a single C won’t lead them to revoke your admission/scholarships.
