I'll be enrolling at UC Irvine in the fall and I was in the Stanford HSSC Program the summer after Junior Year. I wasn't really focusing on my studies and I basically spent all of my time partying and whatnot. I got a NP in one class P in 2 other classes and a C- in the other. When I report those grades and send in my transcript, will it factor into my GPA, or will it just serve as credits?

It might if it’s transferable. You should ask your counselor for a clearer answer.

generally, transfer credits don’t influence your gpa, although they may should up on the transcript under “transfer from XXXXXX”.

keep in mind that failing to report colleges you attended is technically academic dishonesty, if thats something you’re considering. I’ve heard stories (from friends of friends of friends… etc) of someone who didn’t report some community college class they took when they were 15 and getting graduate admissions pulled (although I don’t believe it…).

I wanted to take some college classes over the summer (most likely online). Since I just recently planned to do this I didn’t inform UCI. Am I supposed to inform UCI about this before I take the classes? Do these classes count in my GPA? Can I get units? If I get a bad grade or don’t want the units, can I just not tell them?

I called the office of admissions and in regards to reporting community college classes “technically you don’t have to report it, but we recommend you do”

Will serve as transferable credits, no effect on your UCI GPA.
