Do supplement essays change?

Does Northwestern's supplement essays/statements change year to year or do they stay the same (letter-for-letter or as a general idea)?

I'm a rising senior hoping to get a head-start on college essays, which is why I ask.

Here is the 2009-2010 application with the essays/statements at page 2:

Also, what is the word/character limits of these essays?

Thanks!

they haven’t changed for at least the past 3 years so based on that i don’t think it will change, however, you should check when the new supplement comes out and make sure that it’s in fact the same topic. 300-500 words is usually the norm.

It could change you never know. But, I do remember writing really similar supplements as NU’s for Hopkins, Penn, Cornell, UMich, and a few others. So you’re bound to be writing one of that type of “Why College X, why do you want to major in what you want to major in HERE.” You might as well get a base model of what you could hopefully use later this summer or in the fall. Good luck.

For entering 2007, they weren’t on the common-app and had a changing supplements that were AWESOME. Sadly, they’re eliminated now with the change to common app- now it’s just “Why NU?”

101060, you’re a joke. You’ve posted this in almost every school’s forum. Instead of looking for this simple information yourself you decide to clutter CC with way too many of your useless idiotic threads.
