Well, I just started watching them last month, and I have watched all buy the last one (book of love) and they are pretty cheesy yet funny. However most of them are "based" on University of Michigan and represents the school as a heavy party school where its all about having fun times with party girls....

My parents actually watched the first one when it came out and when I told them I was looking at U of Mich, they said it was a party school and I shouldn't go haha.

Well I am an incoming senior who hopes to go to U mich, but to all the students who currently attend the school, do you guys laugh at how the american Pie movies depict your university?

Unless of course, the movies should a real depiction

Oh, the naked mile ABSOLUTELY used to be held in Ann Arbor. That’s a fact. I just can’t recall any other references to UM AA… but I haven’t seen all those movies.

There is UM-Flint, UM-Dearborn, and UM-Ann Arbor. UM-Ann Arbor is the most highly renowned of the three and the one most people think of when you say UMich.

It’s in the first two movies kind of a lot, not the main part though. The guy who is dating Tara Reid, I think his name is Kevin in the movie, goes to UM, and I think another character or two goes to UM (they show them at the beginning of AP 2 getting out of classes on campus for the summer, and they talk about it at the end of AP 1).

Stifler and Oz go to MSU and they played in a lax tournament while in high school at either MSU or UM, don’t remember.

So UM is in there kind of a lot, but the story is set in Michigan, so that’s kind of expected.
