Hi everyone,
I was just wondering- do top UCs, like UCLA or Berkeley, view the number of AP/honors courses that a student takes within the context of each high school? My school does not offer very many advanced courses and you’re only allowed to take them starting junior year, so I’m afraid this will put me at a disadvantage. I took 3 honors and 2 APs in my junior year and am taking 2 honors and an AP this year. Thanks!
Your GC will send a school profile that will show which AP/Honors etc… courses are offered at your school. If you are a CA resident, the UC’s are well aware of the HS’s in California and the courses available to you. Your HS course rigor will be evaluated based on what is offered at your school.
