Subject tests are recommended for JHU and those scores are solid. If your D has time i would retake / take another exam to see if she can get another score above 750. However, that’s definitely not a priority and submitting these should be fine.
^^^I’d agree with @saif235. I’d have no issue with submitting them. Subject tests aren’t easy at all and I think anything 700+ works great. But does she have the time and desire to take either or both again? If so, I’d go re-take them. I’m always on the side of increasing probability, where possible.
As I’m sure you know, GPA, course rigor and the SAT/ACT are the big 3 in admissions decisions. And your D has that “in spades.”
I would not waste time retaking, especially if she has 4s and 5s to self report on her AP exams. These are high enough to demonstrate good competency in these subjects, and I would guess she has better things to do with her time.
Thanks. Yes, she’ll have good AP scores to report. D’s on the bubble about even applying–she’d need to land the Hodson Trust Scholarship for it to make sense. She says she’s done with subject tests, but I’ll encourage her to send what she has if she does apply.
Keep in mind that the Hodson Trust scholarship is extremely competitive - and selection is a bit arbitrary. As i understand it, your D will need some kind of “hook” that catches an admissions officer’s eye to get nominated.
