Do they ever make mistakes?

Hi guys

i just got my decision from Yale, i was accepted

however i was rejected by Williams and Dartmouth, and i'm also an international student

my question is:

do they ever make mistakes with notifying applicants online? b/c i have to reply to a major scholarship in my own country within the week, and my snail mail might not arrive in my country in time.

if they never make mistakes, then i can happily reject my scholarship in my own country.

is it possible that my decision is wrong, that i actually wasn't accepted?

i am serious...it's just like a dream! i don't want to reject my scholarship in my own country and then find out im not accpeted at yale

thanks!

Relax you're fine. Have fun and celebrate.

Call them tomorrow.....But I am sure that they don't make that kind of mistake. Congrats....

lol thanks!!

another question:

do i have to maintain my average? (when i applied it was 95+)

what kind of average do i have to maintain?

i don't plan to slack off at all, but i just want to make sure

thanks!

I was also rejected by Dartmouth and got in Yale. I also could not believe I got accepted by Yale. Are you from China?

I'm a Chinese citizen living in Canada as a permanent resident. I left china when i was 15

how about you, zzx05|1?

I am a native Chinese, studying in a top public school in the northeast.

even if they did make a mistake, they'd have to take you now, rihgt?

jesus.....

dartmouth syndrome, baby (;

You were in the Yale Daily News! haha

haha, i read it too

good job yihan, i knew you'd make it!

go torontonians!

lol thanks everyone

alwaysTHISclose, I don't really get the Yale Daily News part...can you explain?

ahh never mind
LMAO @@!

way to get my name out!

yihan: On behalf of the admissions committee, I am sorry to inform you that there was a terrible mistake. The acceptance was actually to be sent to another applicant whose name was also yihan zhu. But now that you are already in the Yale Daily the adcom has decided to accept you after all. We are also admitting the other yihan zhu, of course. However, just to avoid confusion among your classmates, we ask that you voluntarily change your name before you arrive.

Dear vicariousparent:
thank you for your concern..yihan isnt my real name anyway

lol o welll

its actually pretty funny (of course, it is kinda embarrassing too haha0
